The Dutch mediumwave transmitter on 828 kHz is currently on the air with an engineering test, identifying as "Radio Paradijs 828". This is a surprise, as the licence for this frequency was awarded to a station called Radio Tropical. Radio Paradijs is another of the stations run by licence holder Ruud Poeze. It was previously operating on 1584 kHz from Utrecht, but has been off the air since the mast collapsed in September.
The signal is strong here, a few km west of in Hilversum, with good modulation. The test is expected to be of short duration.
