Kind of off topic - BUT: I Have a prized radio collection and a golden rule:

Never loan out any radios to the curious.

I broke that rule the other day -- to a young enthusiast... and Lord knows
we need more radio enthusiasts...
Loaned a young man (30+) my *Toshiba*, *RP-F11 - *and even before
he got to play with it, he snapped the antenna off at the pivot point!

This after a clear warning: This is a RARE radio. This radio is NOT
replaceable or repairable.
BE Careful with this radio...
Even after all those warnings, there was a ham fist event that damaged the
radio.

If anyone out there has a dead or spare
Toshiba, RP-F11 that they want to share with me for parts, I would be
forever in their debt!

And Folks: DO NOT Loan out radios unless you are prepared for the worse
case scenario!
