Ivo,

I have been reporting this ``new day`` Wed the past few weeks, altho I did not
recheck it today. Why do you assume this replaces Saturday rather than in
addition? I did reconfirm it on December 5. BTW, the frequency is offset plus
which caught my attention in the first place, suspecting it could be other than
Issoudun.

** BRAZIL. 11905-11910-11915 DRM, Dec 9 at 0215, RNA FM 96.1 music
still testing, at first not decoding into Bras?lia or Bonaire SDRs,
S/N ratio too low; better around 0400 into Bonaire but with dropouts
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA? 4940, Dec 9 at 0212, anonymous mystery missionary
station, usual gospel huxter in Spanish, VG S9/+10 into TWR Bonaire
SDR. The very active CadenaDX FB, organized primarily by Santiago San
Gil G. in Venezuela, has been reporting on this, trying to locate it
by reception quality and triangulation during a co?rdinated overnight
monitoring project, Dec 5 from 2230 until 1030.

Here`s a thread, pointed out by Claudio Galaz in Chile:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/531629043622500/permalink/3496506927134682/?app=fbl

It was also roughly translated into the WRTH FB, via Ron Howard, WOR
iog. They think it may be in Arauca on the Venezuelan border, if not
across the border. This is in the NE corner of Colombia, while my own
attempts at TDOA DFing via Kiwi SDRs had among some obvious far-off
suggestions, landed circa Puerto Ayacucho, Venezuela, further down the
Colombian border.

Someone also heard the catch-phrase ``Fuerza de Paz``, which is one of
the names associated with Martin Stendal`s ministry with ex-stations
on 5910 & 6010, as well as ``Colombia para Cristo``. However, I assume
this was mentioned in the old recordings rather than an explicit ID
for the 4940 station. They found the station apparently broadcasting
the continuous stream of Fuerza de Paz Radio.

Meanwhile, I have undertaken a different approach. Lack of IDs or
locations announced implies it is not licensed, so is there anything
about it in official Colombian government radio licensing info? I
asked Jim Thomas, who is familiar with researching FM info in Latin
American official websites for WTFDA`s FM database, for the current SW
info, which he forwarded to me.

Each tropical band, 120, 90 and 60 m has a long list of possible
frequencies, each with a channel number. They all end in -5, not -0,
IIRC a long-ago arrangement with Venezuela which used -0 frequencies.
4935 is Canal 175 and 4945 is Canal 176. As I also reported
previously, there used to be a YV station on 4940. Now there are NO
Colombian or Venezuelan tropical band SW stations on the air, except
for this one, whichever it may be. Should it be licensed in Colombia
nevertheless, this listing is from April 2019, long before it appeared
on the air, so would not necessarily be included.

[As an aside, the official webpage goes on to assign channel numbers
to the International SW bands from 188 on 5905, up to Canal 898 on
26095! and to which a few lower stations were still on the books altho
we know all of them have been gone for years, except the latest ones
being 6010 & 5910 which tested briefly this year; including callsigns
and STL frequencies in the 300-MHz band, by departments, each 5 kW
except Bogot? 20 kW, which were of course Rdif. Nacional; FYI:

Arauca: Turbo, 6085, HJTF
Cundinamarca: Bogot?, 9635 HJGG; 9700 HJGR; 11795 HJGT; 15335 HJGV;
17865 HJGY
Choc?: Bah?a Solano: 6105, proyectado, HJAO
Guaviare: San J[os? del] Guaviare, 6035 HJOY
Meta: Villavicencio, 5975 HJHZ; 5955 HJKV
Meta: Puerto Lleras, 6010 & 5910 HJDH
Nari?o: Tumaco, 6015, HJOW]
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6100, Dec 9 at 0656, RHC is S9+30 of dead air in English but
with some hum; 6000 is S9+20 and suptorted; but 9700, only S8-S9 has
good modulation. Something`s always wrong at RHC.

BTW, my DX PROGRAMS sexion of Dec CIDX Messenger altho dated Dec 5
somehow did not show the latest updates such as 9700 ex-6145 for DXers
Unlimited. Always check our website for the latest changes which may
be entered at any time:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALI. 17880.0, Dec 9 at 1618, S7-S9 instrumental music sounds
vaguely Christian and slightly off-frequency+plus, yet adjusted
measurement close to .000 --- I may have to recalibrate. Also not
adding up is this listed as CRI in Arabic via Bamako; another service
defaulting to surely secular fill music? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Dec 9 at 0653, no signal from VON. I think it was
on the night before (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. RF 22, Dec 9 at 1637 UT, Level-3 tropo
enhancement for 1500 predicted over the 4-corners OK/AR/MO/KS area,
with lesser rings outward, Enid on the edge between 1 and 2, and
almost every `open` UHF channel plus some VHF have a Bad signal bar.
RF 22 first decodes as KSNT, which is supposed to be RF and virtual 27
in Topeka KS, which KFOR OKC would be blocking on 27 itself. Before it
soon fades out, or rather cuts off below DTV threshold, I hasten to
explore the subchannels which are: 27-2 SBN; 22-3 HSN-2; 22-4 KTOU
with full screen color bars!; 22-5 Shop. So this is really the OKC
station on 22, almost matching Rabbitears listings,

22-1 22.1 HSN HSN
22-2 22.2 SAP Audio Icon SBN SonLife
22-3 22.3 HSN 2 HSN2
22-4 22.4 KTOU The Country Network
22-5 22.5 CTV Infomercials

The tiny PSIP ID maybe was not really KSNT, but KSNC which would make
more sense, 22 in Great Bend KS but virtual 2. Both Kansas places are
outside any tropo predixion area (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 9955, Dec 9 at 1625, WRMI is still on with
what sounds like a much younger Brother HyStairical orating, or
someone else? The Overkiller, // 13845, 11600, 9980, 9455, 9395, 7780.
I have not checked whether 9955 is now staying on all day with this,
but websked still shows System B WRMI-3 off the air 15-21 or 22 except
weekends, when it is still out of air most of the daytime (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 18122-USB, Dec 9 at 1613, AA6AA calling CQ DX, working
unheard M5LMG. Admits from Nevada, yet another station with misleading
call area, but wow, what a vanity callsign, first among equals?
QRZ.com:

``AA6AA USA flag USA, STEVEN M ORLAND, Los Angeles, CA 90013 USA
Operating remotely from W7RN located in VC Highlands near Reno, Nevada
(DM09ei)``

18148.8-USB, Dec 9 at 1616, W7RAT again today but split frequency,
SSOB S9+20 from Southern California via Portland, Oregon (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2063 monitoring: next:
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
2300 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE

woradio at yahoo.com.

New WOR 2064 should be ready by early UT Friday December 11 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17775-, Wed Dec 9 at 1620, no signal from KVOH, still no
power as expected by Ray Robinson (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Latest news about Trump vs VOA: See 1550 KUAZ MW log below

** U S A. 1550, Dec 9 at 1529 UT on caradio, skywave is still in a
bihour after sunrise, so I hopefully look for KMAD Madill on the other
side of OK, U1 250/90 watts, much-wanted and which allegedly has
returned to the air. Instead the dominant station is NPR, which has to
be 50 kW ND daytimer KUAZ, Tucson AZ, those lucky Zonies; official FCC
SR/SS UTs for it are: 1415-2415 Dec; 1430-2445 Jan --- concluding a
story about TrumPack`s latest shenanigans and plugging All Things
Considered. But by 1532 it`s overtaken by a gospel huxter in English,
one of scores of other 1550s, presumably not KS still gone. NPR has
moved this story about VOA/USAGM:

via Mike Cooper, WOR iog, and David Cole:

ESIEA announcement in detail:

?

"The Boards of Directors of the Federations (POESY, POEPTYM, POSPERT)in
absolute harmony with the primary Associations and unions in the field ofPress

through a draft law, announce the continuation of the strikemobilizations with

?

With the major demand of the industry for strengthening the printed pressnow
obscurely unanswered, the Information Industry is facing another strongblow to
the working conditions of the colleagues in the TV Stations, but alsoof all the
employees in the Press, who continue to give the daily battle ofobjective
public information, in the unprecedented adverse conditions of thedeteriorating
health crisis.

?

The BoD of the Unions express their categorical protest at the
attempteddissolution of labor relations, through a newly introduced model
of"flexibility" which threatens:

?

??? to catalyze the narrow core oflabor relations and rights leading to job
cuts and mass layoffs,

??? in a direct further contractionin our Insurance body, with blocking of the
right of insurance to the"counted" employees and consequently a dramatic
reduction of income.

?

The BoD of the Federations and all the employees in the Press

?

WE ASK

?

the immediate withdrawal of all anti-labor provisions of the bill thatundermine
the Free Collective Bargaining and the Insurance Funds, but also theright of
society for reliable and valid information.

?

??? the beginning of a dialoguebetween the Government and all those involved,
for the preparation of an autonomousbill that will regulate the entire
Panhellenic and Regional TelevisionStations.

?

On this basis, the BoDs of the Federations declare a new 24-hour strikefrom
18:00 on Wednesday, December 9 to 18.00 on Thursday, December 10 on
alltelevision stations in the country, public and private, nationwide and
localand on their websites, radios and ERT website SA, to APE BPE and to
GGE-GGE,with a request for the withdrawal of the anti-journalistic provisions
of thebill under "consultation".
