I, personally, would love to get a copy posted.

This was my first time interfacing with the VSA group and I'm surprised
by the level of organization internally. I'm still grasping the group's
focus externally however.

Specifically the interactions with HardHats, VistA Office, other VistA
vendors, etc. Actually, I'm still trying to understand VistA Office
some more as well. It was on the agenda for Friday's call but I wasn't
able to make it. Anyone have notes to share?

/David.

of you may have heard of it. Just wondering - who's in town?

Software Alliance" that I totally plan to crash (ok, the company was
invited today but I personally wasn't thru our group here). So who's
going?

Sorry not to respond to this earlier. Things have been somewhat busy
here in Dallas.

The VSA held two meetings at HIMSS. The board of director met 2/15 to
review the progress made in growing the VSA since its incorporation in
November 2004. And we held a meeting 2/16 open to all members,
prospective members, and all other interested parties.

The agenda was as follows:
        Welcome and Introductions (Barbara)
        What is the VSA?
                Barbara Boykin, Chairman, VSA
VistA as an EHR (why VistA is the best thing since sliced
bread)
Scott Shreeve, Chief Medical Officer, Medsphere
        Entering the VistA Market
                Sall Akers, Perot Systems
        VSA Plans for 2005
                Joel West, Secretary, VSA
        Commercial Deployment of VistA
                Gaily Graham, Veterans Administration
        Q&A with VSA Board

We filled the room with about 75 people attending. Our invitations were
word of mouth by necessity not design. The meeting details came together
at the last minute this time, but in the future we plan on posting
notices on our website.

Given how expensive HIMSS is to attend, it didn't occur to me to post an
invite to Hardhats. The VSA will definitely have a presence at HIMSS in
San Diego, but no other face-to-face meetings are yet scheduled. Someone
will post an announcement to Hardhats when we have scheduled any open
meetings. I will also let you know if we are able to post the speakers'
slides.
