There are nowtwo different flavors of the VistA HL7 package on VistA...
(1) VistA HL7 (I'll call it) CLASSIC
(2) VistA HL7 NEW
The VistA HL7 package has been totally rewritten recently. I have little awareness of the features in the NEW VistA HL7 package, but will make inquiries of the VistA
You mentioned a problem with a problem message at the top of a queue that is holding up processing on the remainder of the queue. I'm told that you should delete the front queue entry.
A little more that I gathered from my conversation with the VistA HL7 team...
The VistA HL7 package (the CLASSIC
I know this is not about Mumps or Vista but found it pretty interesting.

someone I know sent me this link. The site describes how someone took QEMU
vertualPc ,a live linux distro and made it into a windows screensaver,
pretty cool
So, is this a viable alternative to dual booting? If it is, Bhaskar
Now if we can get the screen saver and the underlying OS to network ...
BTW, has anyone tested out that open source version of VMWare to see how it
works with GTM and VistA and the like? I think the name begins with G.
I just received another more detailed response from the VistA HL7 team, and am including below...
I think that the bad message needs to be reviewed before the action is taking.
If a bad message is deleted without checking, it may impact the other messages which are needed to be transmitted in

[KSB] For demo purposes, if it works, then sure, why not? I haven't
tried this personally, but I don't know of any reason for it not to
work. For production,
I always stumble at the point of using IENS. No offense to Toad, but
the system drives me crazy!
I want to add new records to a given file via UPDATE^DIE. But I want
to specify the record number. So I set up an FDA that looks like
this:
FDA(2706.3,1,,.01)=My Name
FDA(2706.3,1,,1)=Kevin

Apparently, you're not the only one, because there's a conversion
routine you can use if you're more accustomed to DA arrays:
BAYS
Hmmm I think I figured it out.
I found in the manual where it says I should use:
FDA(2706.3,+1,,.01)=My Name
FDA(2706.3,+1,,1)=Kevin
FDA(2706.3,+1,,2)=Toppenberg
but when making the call, do this:
set TMGIEN(1)=1234 -- the 1 will match to the +1
do UPDATE^DIE(FLAGS,FDA,TMGIEN,MSG)
Lets

As you saw it was in the documentation. But what you did is not quite
correct. I will change some of the numbers to make it more obvious what
needs to be done.
S TMGFDA(2706.3,+19,,.01)=My Name
S TMGFDA(2706.3,+19,,1)=Kevin
S TMGFDA(2706.3,+19,,2)=Toppenberg
S TMGIEN(19)=1

I have been running a VistA implementation on GT.M for years now so VOE
should have no problem.
