The very original Pharmacy software was exactly that - for
Outpatient Pharmacy use. It eliminated the need for typing labels,
maintaining Kardex for Rx History and Pt. Profile and supports refills,
cancellations.

I am no pharmacy expert, but I think you should be OK. VistA is not RAM hungry
at all and most home based PCs are just fine. VistA itself is free, but you
will probably need to get a vendor to help you install it and get the portion
you need up and running. If you do not get contacted by a ven
VistA will work as a pharmacy system both inpatient and outpatient with
limitations. Please let me know what you want VistA to do for you and I
can give more specific answers on what it will and won't do for you.
