Well, I found a forum where they talked about compatibility and when I disabled AGP fast writes, the stuttering went away. BTW, the problem with the DVD and CD burners hasn't gone away. It hung during a reboot and took a couple of tries to get started. Interestingly it restarted after sitting off

[H] Weird pauses on new machine

Just noticed something with my new machine - it randomly pauses for about a second every 20 seconds or so. Really annoying bug since it wreaks havoc with mouse movment and typing. Seems to do it all the time, not just under load and does it constantly. I dont think it was there right away,
