Boyfrom the ad is sure if hard to tell of this beast is really meant to support TV watching. I bought a wide screen 17-inch for my exercise room recently...it supports HDTV (includes a TV tuner), and has component, composite, s-video, and DVI inputs. It looks great on HD, too. Can be used

One of my boxes prompted me to do a update ( set to dl and not install ) was WGN so I figured WTF. It installed, wgn notification ( the daily stuff ) is not there anymore and in manage addons it is not grayed out like b4 ( can be disabled ) Maybe MS succumbed to all the bad press :-D -- Tall

not really, although I will use it with a all in wonder to watch analog TV. I just want to make sure it will support HD if I want to output HD from a cable box later on. And I want to make sure it will support all the latest "standards" so I don't drop 8 bills only to discover that it is dated

It currently looks like the 2407 doesn't support 1080i from DVI input, so no, you won't be able to run HD from the DVI output of a cable box. However, if the cable box supports HD output on the component outs, then you will be able to do this. COX cable digital box = OUT = DVI, S Video, comp
