The first EDO were on SIMMS = Single Inline Memory Module = FPM (Fast Page
Mode) and EDO (Extended Data Out) that improved the speed of FPM. Most
earlier EDO SIMM boards you could run either FPM or EDO SIMMS, but you were
advised not to mix them. EDO SIMMS have to be run in pairs.
