I use it and it does slow down the computer a bit, but for me it's worth it because I use the "in-file" searching feature a lot. i.e. it will find the word AUDIT even inside PDF and PPT files. That is cruical for me. Google desktop works perhaps better, but I found it too "intrusive". -

A question for the HWG - Costco has the Dell XPS 435T with i7-920 2.66 GHz CPU, 6 GB of RAM for $1000 ~ $1200 US depending on bundled options/video card etc. Are they reliable? Are they more or less 'generic' as far as power supply, mobo layout, etc or are they so proprietary that only Dell ca

I down loaded the UBUNTU 9.4 from the web. Then i made a cd of it. Then I tried installing from the CD. My take is the the download is corrupt. Therefore does not install. I tried the CD in a different computer and it is not recognized there. I will wait till the CD comes in the mail and try again
