Well, I got home yesterday to find what Win7 had shut down and
restarted. It reported that the ATI driver had a problem. So, I get
directed to ATIs website where i got the 10.2 drivers. I install
them...then ran WEI and it crashes the PC.
I think I regret getting an ATI board.

I don't know. The problem is nvidia has basically went dark for a while, and
their igp based boards are pretty much trash for stability.

This may be a very good idea. I have been using a 4650 and a 4350 with
bare ATI drivers in XP. I did not allow the install of the Catalyst
Control Center.
I know. Not W7. And, not as advanced as you, but worth a try.

I have a ACER laptop that orignal came with VISTA 64 Home Premium. I
upgraded to a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium Retail.
Everything installed OK, and works fine, except for my Zune, which is
odd since it is a MS product. So I go to MS support site with my
