Yup, you need to have installed your OS (Windows 7) with that function
already enabled in BIOS or it's a bit of a PITA to do it after. Just google
for hotplug esata.

From what I could dig up on the net, Norton Ghost 2003 should support win7
without any problems (using CLI), only newer versions should not be working

Odds are the jack on the sub is single 3.5mm stereo common ground
(3-wire) or 4-wire separate ground. Count the number of insulation rings
on the jack: 2 rings/3 connectors or 3 rings/4 connectors, this will
govern how you proceed.

Are you sure of the ohms and matching speaker sensitivity? There may be
other considerations before I'd rush over to Radio Shack and start
chopping wires. IMHO, not a good idea to mix speakers unless you're
prepared for a negative outcome. Good luck!

It's a 3-wire 2 ring jack. Standard 3.5mm stereo plug. I managed to
find a male 3.5 mm stereo plug to 2 RCA female connector. Also, I found
a cable with 2 male RCA plugs with the other end being two two-wire
lines. This should work perfectly, barring any impedance/power issues.

Nope. I have no info on any of that. If it doesn't work I won't be
out too much as this is either old or cheap stuff. I'm just trying to
get some extra mileage out of this old gear.
