I prefer Samsung for compatibility sake and recoverability sake as well. With
WDC SSD's I have no information on them, other than what I have seen on Review
sites.

Compatibility in upgrading from Disk/SSD and Older computers are compatible. On
the PCIe (NVMe) end they are excellent in all computers installed in.

We have some older PC's here that we're upgrading the drives from HDD to
SSD's and for $30 you can get Kingston 240gb drives from amazon. I've not
had any issues with the upgrade.

While the performance of the Kingston's isn't all that. They are cheap and
cheerful. I second the recommendation.
Check out the intel drives. I've been using them and really like them.
