I have a ACER laptop that orignal came with VISTA 64 Home Premium. I upgraded to a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium Retail. Everything installed OK, and works fine, except for my Zune, which is odd since it is a MS product. So I go to MS support site with my error code and find this

-------------------------------------------------------------
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Cause: This error may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:
You have not installed the correct driver for the device.
The Windows Portable Devices Media Transfer Protocol file (Wpdmtp.inf) is not available in your \Windows\INF directory. Note The Windows Portable Devices Media Transfer Protocol is required by the Zune driver installation.
Resolution:
If you cannot find the Windows Portable Devices Media Transfer Protocol component, contact the manufacturer of the computer for help reinstalling this component.
Reinstall the Zune driver. See "Typical troubleshooting steps" section.

I guess it would be too much to expect MS to actually have a driver that would work with their Zune. I checked with ACER who informed me my warrenty was expired and I could pay for a support ticket or respectfully go screw myself. I am guessing that all I need is the Wpdmtp.inf file from a ACER that came with Windows 7 installed. If so, could you send it to me along with what folder path it came out of. Thanks.
