Just make sure the space is well ventilated so you don't get a buildup
of explosive gases.

You do NOT throw the switch when things are powered up...
For lack of knowing any better, I use a similar switch and only charge
the second battery when I've reached highway speeds.

The switches I was talking about are for pretty big lead-acid batteries.
I do not have the bat specs, but it takes two full grown men to carry them...
A three dollar switch just seemed a little small for the job... (It being sold
as a boat switch...)
My concerns would be arcing and capacity...
Anybody ever install two batteries in their vehicle ? I would of
thought there would be some kind of easy device that allowed you to
hook them up saftly but I haven't been able to Google one up or even
clear instructions on how to do this. Has anybody done this?
Most RV's have two batteries. Check with an RV parts dealer
as to what you need to make it work.

in the toolbox
Do you do a lot of highway driving so your alternator can charge 2
batteries? not really, but I can always trickle it. If it's not big
enough you'll also need a new heavy duty one of these that can do the job.
Yes, this is one of my questions... I am just not sure, probably
won't know until
