Spent most of the day trying to scare up some m/b drivers for a
Compaq Presario 7360. Contains (what I read is) a Mitac U5114V
m/b, but the Mitac.com site is so odd my browser can not drive it(?).
CPU is an AMD K6-2 500MHz. W2K died, or I killed my 1st W2K system!
Have formatted and reinstalled
trying to turn the rest of the hair gray :-!

may still get moved to another machine still. This Compaq POS is d
As an update, the VIA 4n1's did not do the trick. I tried both the v443 and
Hyperion v451.
I found my old VIA archive (back to v436) and the only video driver
contained is for an AGP/GART driver. Assume an AGP video card or AGP imbed
in the NorthBridge. This stupid VIA imbed is a Trident PCI f
Sorry it did not work.
How about a cheap (used) video card from somewhere instead?
Depends on what it is used for...
(I think I have an XP machine running a real old 4Meg card, or did...)
