Turn it sideways and use an external KB mouse! ;)
I guess I'd have to agree with you somewhat since I
think even 4:3 sucks for
that reason. 3:4 or 9:16 would make more sense to me
but I've yet to see a
laptop with portrait mode pivot.

I almost always need more vertical space
It's your resolution, not your aspect ratio, that sucks.
Try working from a 1920x1200 desktop, on a 24 widescree Dell or what have

I must be missing something, everything is going widescreen these days and
I hate 'em..
What's so great about them for normal everyday use? I have to scroll more
up and down to see docs and web pages since the vertical rez is so low.
My older laptops were all 1024x768 and the new one is a 1280

I just turned my Samsung 204b to portrait mode...I must say this is
interestingperhaps I'll see about getting a second one as it does
take up less horizontal space this way...
I do agree with you about two displaysit's what I do at work and I
won't trade thatat home, I'd have to
boy...you're right about the portrait mode being nice for a lot of stuff...
however, I'm getting a headache! :) Gotta take a break
Have you ever tried flipping a WS to portrait mode? It really does make web
browsing an entirely new experience...
What surprises me more than anything,
That makes sense, they cheaped out at 1280x900 rez on mine, so I lose quite
a bit of vertical workspace compared to the 1280x1024 I am used to
1680x1050 might take the sting out of having to change..
The key to WS displays isdon't buy one with a dinky resolution. :) I'll
only consider
