No flame war here! Just checked, AMD's stock value peaked when it doubled 2005's
value in Q1 2006. It's been dropping like a rock ever since to where now 3 years
later shares trade at 10% of 2006's peak.
Either way what killed AMD is C2D and lack of vision to compete, not bribes IMO. No

I'd argue ati is better off now then it would have been, and the 780g has been
one of the most reliable htpc platforms. And the 4890 is a better bang then
anything nvidias got atm.
But 5 years ago? Please. When amd had the x2, intel had pentium-ht and then
pentiumd. And the x2 DESTROYS
