That was my guess also and the main reason I stopped
dual booting a
Linux on my laptop. The 2 consistently just don't play
well togther on
the same hdd, MS fault likely. sigh...

I use encrypted virtual drives for my personal data. One thing I
haven't been entirely sure of is whether the encryption is tied to
the program that created it. In other words, if you create a
encrypted drive in, say, TrueCrypt, or Paragon Encrypted Disk, or PGP
, then you will need to open
. Windows will see it as junk unless it has the
transaction layer software to see it.
