Hi Harmonys!
I want only to mention, that at

Java license must look like and what people think, if it is better to have
only one implementation (if

Hi!
AT first, congratulations to Apache and Intel for the new snapshots at
http://people.apache.org/dist/incubator/harmony/snapshots/
from the 4. Augusta 2006.
Now it has in the hdk-version its own JVM integrated, so that IBMs JVM is no
longer needed.
But on Windows there isn't neither in
Hi!
Can anybody at Harmony say, whats the releationship (or non-releationship)
to GNU Classpath is?
At the beginning of Apache Harmony it sounds, that Harmony would use GNU
Classpath for its class libraries.
But since Intel have spend Harmony its own Swing implementation, it is
clear,
JavaONE 2006 is over. Sun have not opend Java, as many people have hoped.
But Sun hold on the speculations, if Suns Java will be OpenSource or not.
At OSNews.com at

Hi!
The FAQ-Side

That's great!
But can you offer it to us in XML format? All are docs are XML based. See
http://svn.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/incubator/harmony/standard/site/
which is how we maintain and render the site...
Hmmm.. I have not so much experience with XML.
But I have tried to integrate it there.
At first I want to cite myself:
Sun have given with OpenOffice.org the OpenSource-community a lot.
But with Java, it looks a little bit diffrent.
And the reason is, that Java _is_ already popular. So they see no need to
make it more popular.

The idea behind it is clear: Letting a platform
Harmony is focus on provide a Tiger compatible JVM, but i think it is
possible to make it more general for other language such as .NET, Haskell,
Smalltalk etc.
I think in this point it would be better, to go the way like Haiku (the
BeOS-rewrite):
The first and importants goal is, to be 100%
