I wonder if anyone is able to give us a definitive answer to
this. We are trying to fill in our holdings for the Adin Steinsaltz
Talmud, Talmud Bavli / menu ad u-mevo ar al yade A in Sh ainzalts (
Yerushalayim : ha-Makhon ha-Yi re eli li-firsumim Talmudiyim, 1967-).

Last Sunday someone asked me for the reason Yerushalayim is spelled
lamed-mem yet pronounced with the -ayim ending more than 300 times in
the Bible. I spent a week researching the etymology and history of the word.

Boker Tov! One of my students is desperately searching for a
picture of Moses Elias Levy, one of the first Jewish residents of
Florida. I've tried all of our basic encylopedias, EJ, google
images, pics4learning, and wikimedia commons with no luck. Any other
