I agree with Sherry Wasserman. The book jacket and the afterward
present the story as true, so without some major revision, I don't think
you can categorize it as fiction.

I am not comfortable with that since the jacket flap says it was based on a
true story, and the last page of the book has a photo of Herman & Roma
Rosenblat and tells the tale as a true version of what happened to them.
According to holocaust scholars and other survivors, what they describe
cannot
Even though its another James Frey case, the title can still serve as a
Holocaust fiction story.

The children's Holocaust book Angel Girl by Laurie Friedman,
published in September 2008 by Carolrhoda Books, an imprint of Lerner
Publishing Group, has been recalled by the publisher after it was
exposed as a fraud. The story is not true. This title was reviewed
