Touro College Libraries is proud to debut the digitized version of David Tidhar's 19-volume, Hebrew-language "Encyclopedia of the Pioneers and Builders of Israel" (http://www.tidhar.tourolib.org ) - a joint project with David Tidhar's family. His monumental Encyclopedia is the only biographical source for many of the approximately 6,000 people included. Having been the first private detective in Israel, Tidhar was ideally suited to compile such a work, to which he dedicated the last decades of his life. His encyclopedia has since become a classic reference source. Please enjoy this new, fully-searchable electronic resource which is freely available to the public.
