CALL FOR APPLICATIONS The Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee announces that one position will be open beginning January, 2004. Applicants should be familiar with Judaic children's literature, experienced in writing critical reviews, members of AJL National, willing to review 100 plus books over the course of a year, able to meet committee deadlines, and have e-mail. Members of the committee are assessed an administrative fee of $100 per year, which is to be paid by their institutions, and are expected to attend annual conventions and participate in committee-sponsored events. Service on the Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee is rewarding. However, it requires a substantial commitment in terms of time and energy.
