This is off topic, but perhaps then again it isn't. We in Crown Heights, Brooklyn--like the rest of the Jewish world--are reeling from this senseless attack. For us it's personal: the Holtzbergs are friends of ours, we daven in the same shul, and our children grew up together. Gavriel's sister, a close friend of our daughter Raizy, made her shidduch two years ago.
That doesn't give us any more reason to mourn and be outraged than anyone else, however. We are all connected. It is up to us to show our unity and strength in the face of this atrocity.
