LC Program celebrates new facsimile edition of the Washington 
Haggadah on March 23rd, noon, Library of Congress


Please join the Hebraic Section, African and Middle Eastern Division, 
and the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress on March 23rd, 
2011 at noon in the Mumford Room, James Madison Building, 6th floor, 
(Metro: Capitol South) for a program about the new facsimile edition 
of the Washington Haggadah published by Harvard University Press in 
association with the Library.



Dr. David Stern, University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Katrin 
Kogman-Appel, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, each of whom wrote 
essays for the new facsimile, will speak about the 
scribe/illustrator, Joel ben Simeon, and about the illuminations in 
the haggadah.



The Washington Haggadah will be on display.



Copies of the facsimile will be available for purchase.



The event is free and open to the public.
