authors' stories:
Scribblers on the Roof: Contemporary American Jewish Fiction (2006)
Promised Lands: New Jewish American Fiction on Longing and Belonging (2010)
I don't know if either volume is available in large print.
We just finished this book for a book group. It is a very nice
collection of stories about immigrants coming to America and some of
their difficulties adjusting. Keep in mind though that some people
may consider a couple of them a bit racey. We enjoyed them very much.

a volunteer basis at our local Hebrew Old Age Home. We have about 15
members, all of whom are in an assisted living situation. The group
is quite sharp, but some are visually impaired and cannot handle
