Today's Wall St. Journal has this provocative piece about how the
combination of Kindle-type reading devices and Google's ranking
system of websites will revolutionize reading.
Example, the author says that the reader's "total immersion" in
another world, the world of the (hand-held) book- may be gone. And
with e-books, you'll never read "alone," because, before long, every
sentence and every page will link to blogs and commentaries of
previous readers' opinions about those passages.
   There's a lot more.
