Subject: [ha-Safran]: Where to begin

Dear colleagues,

Our synagogue is building a small Judaica library. We have a collection of books; the room is under construction. The books have never really been cataloged. They were loosely classified using Dewey. I am beginning the process of determining how to handle the collectionwhether we should automate, what vendor to select if we decide to automate, how to make the best use of the space, etc. Can anyone recommend a book or give me some insight as to where to begin? I am a professional librarian, but my specialty is not Judaica or cataloging.

Thank you in advance.
