Liza shared the bad news with me a few weeks ago, and I told her that regrettably, she is not alone in this: this is endemic to the world of Synagogue, School and Center libraries in the last few years, and AJL must address this attrition with renewing and revamping our educational efforts among the leadership of these organizations. I hope that we can assemble a task-force this year that will focus on creating a campaign emphasizing the role of SCC library professionals as gatekeepers of Jewish education and continuity.
