I agree with Amanda. As I said in my presentation at AJL in June, Ancestry
aggregates databases that are individually available for free. It is useful for
Jews to research their ancestors in America but if they want to use it that
way, it is available in most public libraries.

We have Ancestry (Library Edition) at NYPL. It's one of our most frequently
used sites for genealogy research and can also be useful for general
research.
The version we have is for use onsite (there is no remote login option).
