Dear Safranim,

I just returned from visiting a book-filled apartment of someone who
recently passed, who had great interest in the Holocaust. There are no
known survivors, and so her neighbors are trying to deal with the materials
there before the landlord comes with a cleaning crew to get rid of
everything.

The collection is primarily modern and in Western languages (English,
French, Italian, and German were prominent) and covers quite a lot of the
20th century. The owner was a Holocaust survivor who acquired everything
there was to be had on Nazis, the Holocaust, and World War II (as well as
many other areas). I took some pictures that I'd be happy to send along.

If there is a collection interested in taking some of these books, please
let me know and I'd be happy to send some pictures and put you in touch
with the people working on the apartment. Ideally, it should go to someone
local or someone who could take the books sooner rather than later, as the
apartment will be emptied out by the end of February.

Michelle
