I am cataloging the book It's My Whole LIfe by Susan Wider in Elazar.
Do I catalog this book in 736.5 or 799.765? Is it a personal
narrative of the Holocaust or a biography of Western Europe?

Dear Hasafran Readers:
Monday I got my Hasafran Digest and I could only read the first entry. The
rest of the entries did not show up. I am trying to get the Elazar number
for Dancing at the Pity Party. Answers were given in #4, #5, #8. I could
not get my high end Dell laptop to go past item n
It's a great book and I'm glad you bought it. I think it's value would be lost
in a biography memoir number I would want it wherever you have books in death
and dying. There is some discussion of Halachah although that is not the main
thrust of the book

I have not yet bought the book for my library, but from the description, it
sounds like it should go into American biography/memoir. My number would be:
799.77FEDEFede2020
However, since it discusses grief, you could also place it in the death and
mourning section -- 222.5 with a biography cutter
If you have the book, or if there is an on-line source for
Elezar cataloging information, in the front of the book is a guide to how
to figure out what number should be assigned to the book. That was how I
learned to assign the numbers.
