The *Israel Country Report on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education for 2018* has just been published by the European Schoolnet (EUN). The report is available at: https://tinyurl.com/2018-doh-IL . The full set of national reports published by the EUN is available at: http://www.eun.org/resources/country-reports The Israel Ministry of Education national computerization program reaches 95% of the teachers (150,000 teachers) as well as about 50% of the students (800,000). This program is a central tool to further the achievement of the work programme of the Ministry for 2019-2020 that set quantifiable achievable goals in areas like: Excellence in learning; Equal opportunities; Society of Values; and Quality of Human Capital. The report reviews the different policies pursued in this area and specific initiatives. It details the integration of digital technologies in the curriculum: School improvement; digital technologies and the curriculum framework; Digital Technology based assessment; student's digital competences and their assessment. Digital content development includes the provision of cheaper textbooks, digital textbooks and textbook loans; content sharing and creation and the active role of teachers; accessibility for learners with disabilities; learning platforms. Teacher education for digital learning review some outstanding programs. It details how digital technologies are deployed in initial teacher education; in in-service teacher education; and the ambitious national program for teachers' professional development, Ichud mul Iichud (generalities vs particularities) that provides opportunities for teachers in most disciplines to incorporate in their teaching the most innovative new pedagogies anchored in ICT. * ------------------------------ * European Schoolnet is the network of 31 European Ministries of Education (including Israel), based in Brussels.
