Dear friends and colleagues,

I’m in the process of writing a journal article, and found a couple of quotes I want to use. I’d like to footnote them correctly. Here they are:

 

John Irving: “… to look at the arc of your life, it’s all connected. To see how you got from there to here.”

Edward Albee: “… the act of writing is an act of optimism. You would not take the trouble to do it if you felt it didn’t matter.”
