Shalom!

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to let you know about a brand
new book Mechon Hadar <http://www.mechonhadar.org> just published. The book
is entitled "Reconstructing the Talmud
<http://www.amazon.com/Reconstructing-Talmud-Introduction-Academic-Literature/dp/0983325324/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414080236&sr=8-1&keywords=reconstructing+the+talmud>"
and it is an introduction to the modern academic study of Talmud. It
includes analysis of subjects such as reading rabbinic literature in a
Babylonian context, feminist analysis, and cross-cultural comparisons
in the field
of magic.

It can serve as a text book for classes in a university setting, as a guide
for those beginning graduate work in the field, as a reference for those
already publishing in the field, and also as a convenient reference for
those working in related fields.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,
Andrew Belinfante
