Look at the salaries of teachers in the school. The librarian should have
an equivalent salary. For example: if a full-time teacher earns $60,000 a
year, the librarian salary should be at least $30 / hour. It is better to
have a yearly salary than an hourly rate.

For those of you who work in a synagogue library, do you mind sharing a
ballpark or specific number in terms of your wages or salary? I understand
if you'd like it to remain private, but a fellow Jewish book-lover would
