One of my favorites, that is currently out of print (hint, hint to Kar-Ben and PJ) is *Judah Who Always Said "No"* by Harriet K. Feder. He says "no" to bowing down to idols, etc. It is available through Better World Books:

Hello all, We are trying to reenforce a unit in Leadership with our second graders by using the story of Chanukah. I'm looking for suggestions of a good picture book that tells about the story behind Chanukah, not the traditions and observances of today, but also discusses the need for a leader
