Thank you Toby Rossner on behalf of AJL Board, Council and the entire
membership for years of service to AJL.
Toby retires from her latest position as the Chapters Chatter editor. Toby
served in this position since 2007. As past chair of the Chapters Relations, I
know that Toby worked diligently to collect the “chatters” edit them and send
them to the editors of the AJL Newsletter. It was a pleasure working with
her. As a matter of fact Toby recruited me to my first position for AJl as
the founder of the Bibliography Bank. Toby also served as treasurer, SSC VP,
AJL VP and president.
In her email to let us know that she chose to step down she wrote:
“My positions on the Board have given me new-found skills and the confidence to
be willing to try new challenges. Along the way, I have developed deep
friendships with colleagues and a network of information sources throughout the
world”.
As Thanksgiving starts tomorrow we have a lot to be thankful for to Toby. I
personally thank her for her friendship and guidance.
