Thank you to everyone who provided comments concerning this book. The comments were varied and informative, offering the gamut of perspectives, but mostly validated my uncomfortable feelings. We have decided to remove both old and new editions from our collection, discard the old one and keep the new one with backnotes in our workroom in the offchance we were ever asked to do a presentation on integrating appropriate Holocaust picture books into a curriculum.
