Dear Safranim, Some of you contacted me about Library card applications at NYPL in connection with the new LibGuide. The Library's website is somewhat confusing and it's in the process of being revised. Please note: 1) Even if you do not live, work, attend school, or pay property taxes in NYS, you can still get a Library card as a visitor, albeit for a shorter duration. 2) The workaround for out-of-state applicants (for now) is to fill out the following form: https://www.nypl.org/library-card/new/ <https://www.nypl.org/library-card/new/> (ignore the popup at the top and/or any messages saying your application could not be processed) and email dorotjew...@nypl.org . Please also feel free to email me directly at amandasei...@nypl.org 3) More information and an updated application will be posted on the website in a few weeks, but for now this is how to do it. We appreciate your patience. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Best wishes, Amanda
