New Jersey librarians were never regarded as "joining with NYMA," they were always part of NYMA - we were NYMA presidents and board members. NYMA stands for New York Metropolitan Area and New Jersey is part of the greater New York area. I do not recall there ever being a separate New Jersey chapte
