Just for the record:
I compiled with GHC and got the linker error:/usr/bin/ld: dist/build/.../Module.dyn_o: relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against undefined symbol `..._xyz1_closure' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
