+ Storm-dev, + Sanjay He lists two advantages there over Kafka
* Availability .. But he seems to have retracted on it by noting that its no longer the case with Kafka 0.8.2+. * Flexibility of rewriting/editing queue.. This seems like a niche use case He also points out that the throughput is about the same. I have left a comment asking about how it compares wrt latencies with Kafka.. -roshan From: Anu Engineer <aengin...@hortonworks.com<mailto:aengin...@hortonworks.com>> Date: Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:50 AM To: "hdfs-dev@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:hdfs-dev@hadoop.apache.org>" <hdfs-dev@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:hdfs-dev@hadoop.apache.org>> Cc: Roshan Naik <ros...@hortonworks.com<mailto:ros...@hortonworks.com>> Subject: Apache Kudu as a More Flexible And Reliable Kafka-style Queue http://blog.rodeo.io/2016/01/24/kudu-as-a-more-flexible-kafka.html?v2 -Anu
