He lists two advantages there over Kafka

  *   Availability ..  But he seems to have retracted on it by noting that its 
no longer the case with Kafka 0.8.2+.
  *   Flexibility of rewriting/editing queue.. This seems like a niche use case

He also points out that the throughput is about the same.

I have left a comment asking about how it compares wrt latencies with Kafka..
