Following the recent project split, the bin folder is still in the
common project. While it's possible to start the namenode and
datanode(s) directly from Eclipse, the general workaround is to just
copy the bin folder from a checkout of the common/core project into the
hdfs folder

Is the 2NN reachable at http://10.1.1.5:50090? This is the addr the NN
is being told to grab the merged image from. There can be problems
with VIPs, etc. if this address is not reachable.

Have you defined your secondary namenode address? The 2NN is telling
the NN to pull the merged image from http://0.0.0.0.0:50090.
