do you have any policy about hamzas, maddas, etc. in vernacular arabic records.
Do you routinely enter them? I have been discussing this with our new cataloger
as well. words like islam and insan certainly look funny without the hamzas.
any thoughts?

I would go with 'Adil Muna'im for a correctly romanized Arabic name. Since you
are romanizing from Hebrew i would say 'Adel Muna'em. the arabic would have a
macron over the a in adil and the a in Muna'im as well.
