Ilana Abend-David and Rebecca Jefferson
This book is the first incunabula (Nicholas of Lyra’s Quaestiones Disputatae
Contra Judaeos, 1491”) in our Judaica collection so we could devote more time
to its research and cataloging. It is not an obvious choice for a Judaica
Collection which poses many dilemmas we had solve. Working together and
getting assistance from other experts makes it possible.

Tali Winkler and Konstanze Kunst
We will be talking about a unique 19th-century prayer book printed in
Amsterdam. The book contains three separate parts, one of which contained no
publication information. It also contains an inscription written by a father
upon the circumcision and naming of his son in 1832. We will talk about the
acquisition of the object as well as the unique cataloging challenges it
presented.

Haim Gottschalk
Haim will be discussing cataloging the Tur Yoreh Deah printed by Eliezer ben
Alantansi in Hijar, Spain in 1486 and the challenges it posed in particular
understanding the nature of how the quires were signed.
