Did you know that you can ask for more verbose feedback with the

Maybe you can trace the processes back to see what spawned the multiple
Pulseaudio processes? Try using pstree (from the "psmisc" package).

I somehow launched xkblayout-state from my previous build. My method
switching keyboard layout:
1. get current window name (xdotool)
2. if Emacs then xdotool->emacs_shortcut
