but I may be missing some important details.

t guix pull will take more than 20 minutes in this
setting. Newcomers will probably start by using it a package manager
and only then commit to the system.
Thanks.

s coming from my machine indeed. I've followed your recipe
and it worked for me too. I also tested on another Guix machine of mine
and it worked too. Another day, another mystery. Thanks!

Hi,
Were you able to figure out a solution to this problem? Thanks.

I'm wondering whether this is general problem or a problem from my

Hi Akib Azmain Turja,
It's not possible to disable the messages by modifying Guix configs.
I'm attaching a patch below. Would you please send it to the Guix team
and make your argument? Thank you.

No Emacs package manager does that indeed, but Guix manages packages in
a unique way too!
Take a look at /gnu/store/[hash]-emacs/share/emacs/site-lisp/ to
understand how Guix loads emacs packages.

Hi Guix,
I'm wondering if it's possible to install .deb or .rpm packages on the
Guix system.
For context, my government only provides me these solutions to install a
authentication plugin that I use with my ID (smart) card.
Thanks.

Isn't there an extra closing parenthesis on this s-exp?

here to include it or how?
I'd say that such information doesn't belong to any Guix manual. It's
too specific.
However, (info "(guix) X Window"), specifically
`set-xorg-configuration`, could perhaps make it more explicit that users
should dig into xorg man pages.

My understand is that MM from "ID_MM_DEVICE_IGNORE" stands for
ModemManager. I'd like to get a deeper understanding of what's going
on. If you can share some pointers, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.

Hello Guix,
This is not a request for help, but just for reference, so you may skip it.
Recently I fell pray to a hardware issue which rendered one of my guix
machines stuck and unable to upgrade. Issue #41362 seems related and user
also confirmed a hardware issue. Nonetheless, after solving the
the man pages of
such packages?
Notice that packages like elogind (that are only installed on the
system) allow me to access man pages from my user profile.
Thank you.
