[Histonet] Rocky Mt Spotted Fever

2011-09-29 Thread Sheila Fonner
I know that I have requested this information once before but am in need of it again. Does anyone know of a company that tests for Rocky Mt Spotted Fever? We are having a hard time finding someone that still carries an antibody that tests for this. Any and all info greatly appreciated.

2011-09-29 Thread mesruh turkekul
Dear Histology Gurus, I read some where that one can do Azure B counter staining to stain the melanin green to distinguish it from DAB in a IHC section that contains brown melanin. Have anyone tried this? It seems less harmful to the antigenicity of the tissue than bleaching with hydrogen

RE: [Histonet] IHC H.P. Negative Control

2011-09-29 Thread Sheila Fonner
CAP guidelines clearly state that you must run a negative control for each patient tissue. However, if you are running a large amount of a particular antibody, you may validate your procedure to run only one positive control. However, it is just as easy to run a positive control for each

Rich, That is definitely true also. I guess I just assumed that the question was in regards to 30 separate and individual patients. My bad if that was not the case. Thanks for the clarification. Sheila From: Richard Yeo [mailto:r...@wchosp.org] Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2011
